Perl Data Provider Script Print E-mail
Written by Tom Narock
Tuesday, 27 May 2008
A Perl version of the data provider availability script is now available... Previously a bash script was made available for data providers. This script looked through a providers holdings and made a list of what was new or modified. Some data providers experienced problems with this script as it used fairly new versions of system tools which the providers did not have. This script carries out the same function but is written entirely in Perl. It uses only build in Perl functions (i.e. no external Perl libraries) and should be compatible with most systems and versions of Perl. It is meant as an alternative to the Bash script. The complete package containg both the Perl and Bash scripts can be found here

On flight day four of the STS-129 mission, a member of the crew photographed the aft section of space shuttle Atlantis through a window from aboard the International Space Station. Reflections on the window are visible in this image. The 11-day shuttle mission continued maintenance and upgrades to the orbital outpost. Image Credit: NASA
